 NOTES ABOUT CTK: Pastor will be starting a class on September 7^th at 6:00 p.m. for those who haven’t been confirmed in the Lutheran faith and wish to join our church. If you know of someone searching for Christian truths, invite them to come. Our small groups will also be reactivated this fall. We will be studying, “Hitchhiking with the Prophets,” a small book that features a beautiful summary of the entire Old Testament. Our 7^th and 8^th grade confirmation classes start this month. If you have a child in 7^th or 8^th grade and wish to have them enrolled, please let Allison or Pastor know.

ESTATE PLANNING SEMINAR: The Board of Stewardship is sponsoring an Estate Planning Seminar on September 27^th at 9:30 a.m. Breakfast will be served at 9:00 a.m. This seminar will help answer questions about wills, trusts, legacy giving, tax implications concerning inheritances, plus other important information. You will find the time spent well worth it! For more information, refer to the flyer that was sent out via email last week, or pick up a hard copy at the Welcome Center!

KING’S KIDS PLAYGROUND: So far, in three weeks, we have raised $32,898.00. Our goal is $35,000. We are now only $2,102 short of our goal. We still have $726.00 left in the matching grant. Please prayerfully consider how you might help us reach our goal by donating. Our church is also receiving donations to help kick start the program. Donations toward that need to be marked as “MDO.” Donations toward the playground need to be marked “B.J.s Playground for King’s Kids.”

MOTHER’S DAY OUT: King's Kids MDO registration is OPEN! The program will run Mondays and Wednesdays from 9am—12pm for kids ages 3-5. Tuition is $175 a month. We are waiving the $50 registration fee for members and their families. Natalia and Allison are excited about this program. They stand ready to answer any questions you have!

MEN’S RETREAT: Due to the reconstruction taking place at our usual gathering site, we will stay at the

Best Western Plus Texoma Hotel and Suites at 810 N US Highway 75, Denison, TX, 75020. The hotel has a complimentary breakfast. We were able to get a block of state fax free discounted rooms for our event. The event is scheduled for October 3-5, 2025. We will study the book of Proverbs. It is titled, “God’s Gift of Wisdom.” As custom, we will dedicate our Saturday morning working with the local Habitat for Humanity. Our Saturday afternoon will be a day of relaxation on Lake Texoma. Registration is $85.00. It will cover the cost of two nights at Best Western, curriculum, Friday evening dinner, Saturday lunch and dinner, and snacks and drinks. The housing fee is $225 for a single room, $115 for a double room with a roommate. You must find your own roommate. To register for the event, write a check payable to Christ the King and mark in the memo, “Men’s Retreat.” Make it out for $310 if you are rooming by yourself, $200 if you have a roommate.

SPECIAL MISSION OF LOVE: The Board of Christian Education invites all Sunday school participants to join us in making "Blessing Boxes" to send to schools in the Hill Country this Sunday. These boxes will contain food to fill an empty stomach and love to fill a weary heart! All the supplies will be provided! We need YOU to just make ONE and to pray about the child that will receive it, tell them "They are loved". It's one SMALL thing we can do to make a BIG difference in a child's day. We hope to see you on Sunday to be a part of this SPECIAL PROJECT!

SMALL GROUP LEADERS: We will be having an orientation meeting for our small group leaders this month. We could always use more leaders. If you are interested in becoming one, please let the pastor know and attend the orientation meeting on August 17th at 7:00 p.m.
